GUIDED TOURS (Currently Unavailable)
Many of our guests, particularly Overseas visitors and
our City Folk cousins, have found their visit has been made more memorable
by taking a four wheel drive (4WD) tour with Phillip.
TOUR ONE - (from a minimum of 1 hour) This is a ‘must’ tour for Overseas visitors. The tour heads directly out from the Wool Shed towards the Macquarie River and the edge of the Macquarie Marshes. On the way you will see many kangaroos and emus and hear about the history of the area, which abounds with many birds and occasionally, we see echidnas and snakes. Phillip explains many interesting facts about this picturesque area, the abundant birdlife and, of course, you will see our famous Merino sheep. TOUR TWO - (from a minimum of 2 hours) This tour combines Tour One with a trip towards Sandy Camp passing through Marshland areas. Water birds are more prolific on this tour. TOUR THREE - (from a minimum of 5 hours) Pack your own picnic lunch or let Phillip arrange a ‘Pub Lunch’ in Carinda. Overseas visitors will find this a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience when we travel around the Northern Marshes visiting the ‘outback’ towns of Carinda and Quambone. A living history tour of the real ‘outback’ combined with seeing abundant fauna and bird life, it is unsurpassed value for money. You have invested so much time and energy in coming this far. For just a little more your trip will be made ‘a memory for life’ by touring with Phillip. Talk to Phillip and tailor-make a tour to suit you!
